Since 1996, Mr. Furlong has been developing real-time 3-D
graphics and visualization applications. Mr. Furlong's work has been centered around
developing interactive and immersive real-time 3-D environments using
C++, C# and a variety of programming APIs (OpenGL, Performer, CAVELib, VR
Juggler) on a variety of platforms (Windows, Linux, IRIX, HP-UX). With degrees in
Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Furlong brings a unique perspective to the 3-D visualization
problems facing engineers and scientists.
Before founding Inv3rsion, some of Mr. Furlong's projects included:
Lead Engineer on the "Augmented Reality For Ship Survivability"
system for the US Navy, recently awarded numerous US Patents
Lead Programmer on a medical diagnosis and rehabilitation system
linking motion capture to a motion platform, now installed at
research institutions in Canada and The Netherlands
